About Coin
MACHINA (MACHINA) is the economic unit of intelligence in Telegraph – the network that turns intelligence into a graded commodity.
Telegraph organizes intelligence around task-specific markets called Intents. Models, APIs, datasets, algorithms, search systems, analytical services and tools can participate as Intelligence Providers for the Intents they can serve.
Within each Intent, Providers compete on measured performance. Independent Evaluators compete over how that performance should be measured. Validators verify the required protocol execution and finalize the resulting ranking state.
Consumer demand then routes through those rankings, giving higher-performing eligible Providers greater opportunity to serve paid requests.
Consumers pay for fulfilled intelligence in USDC. At genesis, 2% of successfully paid Consumer activity goes to the Protocol Treasury and 98% is allocated to Miner settlement.
Miner-settlement USDC is aggregated through Telegraph's canonical Ethereum settlement process and used to acquire MACHINA from the open market.
Miners are entitled to the MACHINA actually acquired using their settlement USDC. Each entitlement is therefore tied directly to an open-market purchase funded by fulfilled Consumer demand.
This creates the direct economic relationship:
intelligence consumption → USDC value → Miner settlement → open-market MACHINA acquisition → Miner entitlement
MACHINA is therefore the common protocol-native economic unit into which the value of fulfilled intelligence is settled.
One MACHINA does not represent one request, inference, model call or fixed quantity of computation. Consumer pricing and accounting remain denominated in USDC.
MACHINA has a fixed maximum supply of 21,000,000, an initial scheduled emission rate of 7,200 MACHINA per day, and an approximate four-year halving schedule. There is no premine and no Team or VC allocation.
Scheduled emissions are allocated:
60% Validators
20% Evaluators
20% Protocol Treasury
Miners receive zero protocol emissions. Their compensation comes from fulfilled paid Consumer demand.
